“Space City” has so much to offer, it’s not a surprise that Houston is the fourth largest metropolis in the U.S. In 2013, the U.S. Bureau of Statistics deemed Houston as the #1 city in the country for job creation. Local economists credit the region’s energy and real estate industries for Houston’s consistent come back from economic slumps. Houston’s cost of living is below the U.S. average, according to the Council for Community and Economic Research. Reasonable housing prices (compared to the national average) and the diverse rental market appeal to most folks wanting to live here. If you want to enjoy the beach, Galveston is a 45-minute drive from Houston.
DCI Engineers opened the Houston office in Summer 2022 to better serve clients and strengthen industry partnerships in the area. The office is led by Associate Melissa Sibley and her group of engineers. They design structural systems for a variety of projects in the hospitality, commercial, residential, K-12, high rise, student housing, and healthcare market sectors. They have experience managing Diversakore structural projects. The Houston Office frequently collaborates with DCI’s Austin Office.
