Lindsey joined DCI Engineers as an intern in 2013 and full-time in 2015 after earning her Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Montana State University. Lindsey’s first degree was in English Literature and before returning to school for engineering she taught high school English as well as outdoor education and snowboarding. Lindsey began her time at DCI working on many project- and construction types and now primarily focuses on historic renovations and residential projects. Lindsey regularly fields inquiries from contractors and project team members seeking engineering guidance at the project site. Her colleagues and clients rely on her technical expertise, attention to detail and her creative solutions to challenging problems.
What is your dream project location? Yosemite or Glacier National Parks.
What is your favorite thing about the DCI work environment? Hands down the people that I work with on a day-to-day basis. Our office consistently breaks stereotypes of structural engineers by being fun and easy to talk to.
What is your favorite piece of historical architecture? Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone National Park. This is a unique and amazing timber structure. It was also the first project I saw that had undergone major structural upgrades while maintaining its original character and appearance. I was amazed at the creative solutions that were implemented, and it drew me to working with historic structures.
