Senior Project Manager, Seattle
Nigel Lyons took his first steps toward a career with DCI as he was finishing his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Washington in 2015. While at a school networking event with local AEC industry leaders, Nigel met DCI Principal Dick Hemmen and the two hit it off. He joined DCI the summer of that year and has been with the company since.
In college, Nigel practiced what he’d learned in class designing, building and racing concrete canoes for the University’s Engineering Club. At DCI, Nigel has contributed to the firm’s performance-based seismic design of concrete high-rise buildings. His level of technical expertise in design and analysis of concrete structures has made him a go-to resource around the office for complex concrete designs.
Nigel is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington Earthquake Engineering Committee.
