Stephen has been with DCI since graduating from Montana Tech University with a degree in Civil Engineering, providing civil design services for a variety of project types throughout the greater Spokane area. While based in the firm’s Coeur d’Alene office, Stephen has been working with Spokane’s building and municipal leaders for some time.
Over the last decade, Stephen’s focus has narrowed in on large developments, which includes PK-12 schools, stadiums and healthcare facilities. Not only is he driven by the work he gets to do and the teams—both internal and external—he gets to collaborate with, Stephen appreciates what many of his projects provide directly to their surrounding communities.
What do you love most about the DCI work environment?
The collaboration and the people.
What was your favorite class in college? Not chemistry…
Anything mathematical.
What is your favorite place, building or built environment where you live?
I live in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and there are a few homes on the lake that come to mind. I’m drawn to more modern architecture that has exposed structure and large cantilever overhang.
