As an experienced designer, Steve’s project organization expertise spans all phases from design and analysis to bidding and construction management. His experience includes designing “stick” framed roof and floor platforms using solid sawn and/or manufactured lumber, heavy timber framed floors and roofs, log homes, and the layout of pre-manufactured wood roof trusses. He believes that one important aspect of being an engineer is understanding and remembering the basic principles of engineering as well as being open and flexible to design provisions, procedures, and technologies. His favorite aspect of working at DCI is having the ability to mentor younger engineers and being able to work with all of his great clients.
