Dutch Harbor Dock Replacement

Replacement for Alaska’s Fishing Industry: Providing engineering at one of Alaska's most prominient fishing ports

DCI Engineers provided structural engineering services for the replacement and repair of an existing pile supported fuel dock in Alaska. The structural design also included the repair of the existing steel pile supported fender system at the face of the T-Section and the addition of a mooring dolphin 75’ away from the dock on one side constructed with steel piles.

Project Highlights

  • The dock was designed to accommodate a 4,500 gallon fuel truck.
  • There is also a 200-sf wood framed operations building at the end of the trestle.
  • The design vessel for mooring and berthing was a DBL 79 with 17,000 tons of displacement.
