DCI’s civil engineering team designed the site for the new two-story Selkirk Middle School. The 85,800-sf building serves 600 students. Site improvements entailed developing on-site parking, designated bus and drop-off areas, tennis courts, sports fields, hardscape improvements around the school, and coordinating and designing utility services and storm water facilities for the building and hardscape areas.
The civil engineers interfaced with the City of Liberty Lake regarding land use formalities. Their project scope included preparing plans for site demolition; erosion & sedimentation; grading; finished contour; storm water facilities; utility services; signage & striping; and horizontal control.
