Spokane’s close-knit community is comprised of residents who passionately support their local establishments, merchants, entrepreneurs, and local sports teams. The “Lilac City” is a college town, healthcare service and medical education hub for the Inland Northwest, and the heart of eastern Washington commerce. Opening a Spokane office in 1998 became a natural business move for the firm – and a way to express hometown pride and talent.

DCI’s Spokane office organically grew under the initial leadership of Principals Mark Aden and Damon Smith. Now Principals Craig Crowley, Dave Giordano, Justin Cook, and Wade Gelhausen head the 50+ office of structural and civil engineers, while Associate Principal Roxanne Grimm directs the Right of Way department. Over the years, the office has been consistently ranked as one of the top three largest engineering firms by the Spokane Journal of Business Book of Lists (ranked by number of licensed engineers) and has been named “Best Engineering Firms” by Spokane Coeur d’Alene Living on multiple occasions. Besides supporting regional and national projects, many of Spokane’s staff participate, contribute, and present at industry networking events and community outreach workshops. Our Spokane office has established valuable local alliances with AEC professionals to successfully deliver projects embraced by the community.
